Four Winds Ranch Horse Motel

Mattie-  Found on the road after I almost hit her and she ran out in front of a semi tractor.  Taken to the vet clinic where I work part time she was found to be about 12 weeks old on Sept 20, 2007.  She was treated for fleas, ticks, hookworms and a jaw fracture.  After 2 weeks in the clinic Mattie is now here at the ranch and doing very well.  A sweet dog who is really smart.  Mattie will need a special home as she is shy with strangers and won't be comfortable in a busy household.  I don't expect her to get over about 30 lbs.  She is up to date on shots, worming and is on heartworm prevention.   Mattie is doing well with housebreaking, sleeps thru the night.

Feb. 1, 2008....Mattie had her spay surgery today.  She is doing well.

This is Hunter a black and white pointer mix.  He arrived (top picture) at my front gate on a very cold fall day.  Nearly starved to death and so scared.  Thanks to the generosity of my Giant Schnauzer friends he was neutered, had his shots and was heartworm free.  The bottom picture is of Hunter 10 months later in his new home.  It took a long time to find him just the right home.  Hunter has his own little boy to love and his new family adores him.

Great Dane female stray "Maggie" showed up.  Unable to locate her owners she was adopted to a young couple where the husband had grown up with Great Danes. 

Okie has a new home !  He now lives on acreage with horses.  I've seen his new owner several times since he was re-homed and things are going well.  Another successful rescue.
