"March Monk"  1998 Walkaloosa mare.  Black with frost and blanket.
15.1 / 15.2 h stout mare.  March was "just" a broodmare until a short
time ago.  She has been bred 3 times to a palamino TWH stallion.  She
produced 2 palomino foals and a black appaloosa foal.  Good ground
manners.  I recently saddled her for the first time.  This mare is very
quiet and while she doesn't know much yet she took the whole
experience in stride.  Never a worried minute during her first saddling.  I
got on this mare that same session in the round pen and she stepped
off like an old pro.  Several things have happened recently to really
prove how level headed this mare is....she rolled into the fence getting
her hind legs into the woven wire.  She hadn't been there too long as
she had been fine when I went in the house 1/2 hr before.  Absolutely
no marks to suggest the mare thrashed at all.  She was laying quietly
waiting for help when I found her.  She remained quiet while I got her
feet out and then she was able to get up.  Not long after that  a bottle
baby goat ran up to her, stood up on it's hind legs, placing it's front feet
on March's gaskin and started nudging her to be nursed.  March never
moved a foot while I scooped up the baby.  While March and her
pasture pal where grazing a big white Egret swooped in over them and
landed in the pasture.  March calmly walked over to investigate and the
bird flew off.
This mare has good clean legs and feet big enough to carry her size.
With a little more riding time she could be carrying you down the trail
this summer.
Registered with the Part Walking Horse Registry.    $1,500
Estrella   16.2h chestnut warmblood mare.  Out of a Swedish Warmblood
mare and sired by the Hanoverian stallion Achat.  Big stout mare, good clean
legs, good feet.  Was shown 3' Hunters several years ago and has been
hanging out in the pasture since.  Sweet in your pocket disposition she does
require an experienced rider to put her back to work.  A stunning mare she
has a current coggins and is ready to be back at work.  Hunters,
dressage...you decide.  Powerful mover, pretty trot.  If the new owners want
to DNA this mare to Achat she can get a certified pedigree from the
Hanoverian registry.  $4,000 includes coggins, health certificate and shipping
within 800 miles of the ranch.
