If you need to board a horse more than just a night or 2 we offer
short and long term boarding. It can be hard to find short term
boarding as many boarding locations don't like to tie up stalls on
a short term basis. Four Winds Ranch is pleased to be able to
provide this service.
Short term boarding: any length of time longer than a few days
but usually 30 days or less. This service might work out for you
if....
Fees:
Weekly board.......$70 per horse in a 12 x 12 stall
Monthly board......$270 per horse in a 12 x 12 stall
Outside pen no shelter $15/day/horse
discounts for 2nd or 3rd month
Board incldues:
Long term boarding: is contract boarding of 3 or more
months. Don't be nickled and dimed to death with extra charges.
There are no extra charges to put on blankets, sheets, fly masks,
protective leg wear if you provide it. We don't charge extra for
adding supplements to your horses grain that you provide. If I
have some notice and can work my schedule around I don't
charge for handling horses for the vet or farrier.
Currently there are no pasture w/ shelter openings however new
pastures are being fenced to provide this option for long term
boarding.
Stall board long term $250/mo requires at least a 3 month
contract.
Stallions on long term board can not be turned out in pasture w/
shelter and will be turned out in the round pen only.

Rules for short and long term boarders:
There are no self care options for boarding. The reason for this
is that allowing self care is too disruptive to the other horses and
the ranch schedule.
Feed:
Standard ranch feed is 12% sweet feed up to 6lbs per day per
horse. If your horse requires a different type of feed or more
than 6lbs per day please ask for a quote.
Supplements /meds. If your horse requires supplements or oral
medication we need the container clearly marked with your
horses name and written instructions for administration. If you
want the ranch to provide any supplements/ meds for your horse
we charge cost + shipping + 10%.
All horses must arrive with a serviceable halter and any blankets,
leg protection, fly masks etc that you want for the horse. All your
items will be marked with the horses name if you have not
previously marked them.
All horses must be able to be caught, haltered and led. Any
horse that is unable to will be put on training board at $100/ week
until such time as they can be handled without a fuss. (training
board will replace your regular board...not in addition to)
If your horse needs injectable meds please ask for a quote.
Rest assured that your horse will be well cared for here at the
ranch even if you can't be here. I have over 30 years of horse
ownership and regularly handle stallions, bred mares, foals of all
breeds.

up yet - you are shipping a horse long distance that needs to meet
up with another transport or is going cross country and
needs an extended layover. - you are attending events here in Oklahoma where you
need a "homebase" away from home - you can't be home to care for your horses

bedding - 1 additional bag of bedding for monthly board
